Position Summary:

The Information Technology Director establishes, plans, and administers the overall strategy, policies, and goals for the information technology department. This role analyzes the needs of different departments and determines ways to meet business objectives by modifying existing or developing new information processing systems. Additional responsibilities include managing the research and selection of IT equipment, applications, and supplies. This role will report to the CFO and will oversee our ERP Implementation.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Direct department staff including hiring, performance management and career development to ensure alignment with defined goals.
  • Initiates, facilitates, and promotes activities to foster information security awareness within the organization.
  • Creates a culture of cyber security within the organization by driving behavioral changes for the business.
  • Ensures that the disaster recovery, business continuity, risk management and access control needs of the facilities are addressed.
  • Makes recommendations for technology projects and solutions.
  • Coordinate with internal and external audit teams and implements response to audit & regulatory recommendations & findings.
  • Defines critical KPIs, metrics, and business outcomes that deliver an ROI to the organization and communicate them effectively.
  • Ensures adopted best practices supports collaboration across the business
  • Fosters a strong culture of accountability, accurately estimating and delivering upon technology initiatives with strong communication to stakeholders.
  • Provides input to annual planning and budget processes; managing technology spend accordingly.
  • Provides expertise and support during systems upgrades, installations, conversions, and file maintenance and data security.
  • Engages and manages external vendors as appropriate to deliver services for core IT and network security.
  • Stays current with new industry trends, technologies, and software development

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in MIS or related field is required.
  • MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing multi-sites
  • Minimum of 10 years IT Management experience
  • Experience implementing Enterprise resource planning Software
  • Technical experience with networks, servers, databases, software and hardware
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to listen and adapt
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to effectively lead a team
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced, deadline driven environment with rapidly changing priorities
